Yeah, that would certainly make for a smoother ride, but it'd also fuck
your tyres quick smart too.  For high-speed touring, you should actually
overinflate your tyres to say 4-5psi more than normal.  Makes for a much
bumpier ride, but reduces heat-stress considerably.
