I use a batch file that prevents that from happening.

While my reader GoldEd is open, there's a file I call OPENSESS. copied
from the root to the tosser's (FE) folder.

FE is called by another batch file that is an event in IREX.

That batch file looks for the open session file and if it finds it, exits
the event, preventing any mail from being tossed that may still be open or
need spelling or grammar attention.

The batch file that opens GoldEd copies the open session file and also
deletes it when GoldEd is closed.
