-=> Quoting Jeff Green to John Tserkezis <=-
Hello Jeff,
JT>> Must be that WHOLE christmas cake I ate the other day. All that sugar
JT>> can't be good for you.
JG>> And the two bottles of rum in it didn't have any affect I suppose?
JT> Oh, that's why. It didn't have any booze in it. That explains
JT> everything.
JG> Explains what?
I can't remember, it must have been all that sugar.
JG> I've lost the thread after losing three OS's to a
JG> fucked up floppy disk chkdsk!!! Linux survived. Win95, WinNT and OS/2
JG> all died horrible deaths! I'm not bothering with reinstalling OS/2.
That'll learn ya. You had all the OS's on one drive I take it? I can imagine
it could get ugly if the drive crashes.
JG> I relieve stress by telling the senior managers at work what fuckwits
JG> they are.
I used to be afraid of that once apon a time, then I actually tried it. I was
rather disapointed when nothing exiting actually happened...
I left anyway though, I couldn't stand that much fucking up going on and
everyone behaving like nothing was even slightly abnormal.
JG> My boss has just gone on holidays and he made me promise not
JG> to bait the sales people
We used to do that. Ah the good 'ol days. :-)
JG> or managers and not to write any memos unless they are OKed by his boss
JG> (the GM) :-)
Bugger that, we had internal email. Everyone can find out what is going on
with a mere click of a key... I remember one time, two of our network admins
had cross-posted a message to half the company (several hundred people) they
said they found on the internet, and warned everyone about it (the Good Times
Virus). They were serious...
I posted a reply saying that it was a hoax, and a two-year-old hoax at that.
Cross-posted to all the original recipitants again of course. :-) They didn't
speak to me again after that. Probably just as well...
JG> He knows I'll fail on the baiting part but I'll try hard to keep my
JG> promise about no memos.
That's it, try hard, I know you can do it! :-) Oh well, even if you don't
succeed, at least you tried... :-)
