You may have opened up a storm with that question that the  moderators
will have to put out with a fire hose because there must be a zillion
 of us old coots with memories of  having a catheter stuck in each ear
 and a crusty old instructor stuck on the other end. In my case Mr. Abel
 (Ryan Field) was yelling " you dumb s---, you stupid s---" followed by
 a quick rotation of the PT-23 stick that would rattle your knees as it
 passed by but he taught me to fly that old dawg and I still remember
 his name even tho I don't remember what I had for breakfast this
 morning. It was a one way conversation and if it had been two way I
 would have been too scared of Mr. Abel to say anything.
 PT-23, BT-13, UC-78, B-17, B-29, 22 missions, the last on  Aug 6,8 and
 home for christmas 45. That is the way to fight a waah!
