subject: FidoNews Editor MIA?

Hello Dale!

On Tuesday December 05 2006 00:01, you wrote to me:

MVDV>> See the subject and track back to where it first appeared. That

 DS> "inaccuracies in the nodelist".

No, the message was about the fidonews editor missing in action. Just as
the subject line said. I mentioned that missing ZC merely as an example of
people applying double standards. Here is that message from sept 20th:

Hello Ward.

20 Sep 06 00:26, you wrote to Shannon Talley:

ST>> Does anyone know what the plan is for Fidonews? It appears as

ST>> Does a new editor need to be assigned?

There once was ZC missing in action for over a year. His absence was
apologized with "he has a temporary modem problem", "there
is a temporary problem with his phone line, it will be fixed next
month", etc, etc. This lasted for over a year until he was finally
replaced. In the meantime the absent ZC managed to vote in a P4
procedure....

And the sysop in question is still nodelisted, but without any contact information...

I didn't hear anyone from "over there" complain then.....

Cheers,

Michiel

MVDV>> Is the FidoNews editor still missing in action?

DS> No, and that has no bearing of where the thread had gone.

It has, as that was the missing FidoNwes editor was the issue in the
message of sept 20th. The message that Carol dug up.

DS> I quoted to you exactly what you had said, and what she had quoted.
DS> That is what the current (sub) thread was about.

It was not what my message of sept 20th was about though. That was about
double standards applied to people missing in action.

DS> You drug up the old issue of a Z6C who did not have a nodelist entry
 DS> that you could call.

Only as an example of people applying double standards. It was still about
the FidoNews editor missing in action.

DS> xxCarol did not do that.

It was Carol who asked if I still objected to Bin Li's listing. It was
Carol who raised *that* issue again.

Cheers, Michiel
