Hi Bob, BV> Whoops. Here we go again. Dickheads whining about something which BV> they obviously have no understanding of. FYI, the following is the BV> line in MAKEMAIL.BAT which calls PKTJOIN. When it is invoked, the BV> machine has logged the RXFILES directory as being current. BV> \tpoint\pgmfiles\pktjoin *.pkt \tpoint\wrkfiles\tenmin.pkt BV> Are you now going to tell me that PKTJOIN will barf on this one ? BL> I just checked this again when Frank told me his problem, and as far BL> as I can see, what you do is foolproof. If it works for me, it *has* BL> to be foolproof! Yeah, it don't get much simpler that that. BL> When I set out to "tidy up" your batch files, the first hing I did BL> was consolidate the extra directories... but then I put them all back BL> again. HeHeHe... It may look a bit convoluted and as though it is carrying a lot of dead weight, but in reality it is a minimalist approach. I like software to work in a clean and elegant manner where possible. I trust that your restoration to the original was due to the fact that after attempting the big "clean up" you saw it's clean elegance, rather than the alternative ? If so, thanks. If not, xxxxxx :) Regards, Brenton @EOT: ---* Origin: TestPoint (3:711/934.7) SEEN-BY: 711/934 @PATH: 711/934 |
