Hello Amy!
Replying to a message of Amy Ballantyne to Paul Sayan:

When our public elementary schools have gone to uniforms, they have been very
simple:
white blouse or shirt
plaid skirt or pants
sweater
The parents have gotten together and sewn the skirts and pants. White
blouses and shirts have been obtained in mass quantities, has have the
sweaters. If 800 parents go together and by several of each, the cost is
drastically reduced.
They have also created a closet, where outgrown uniforms are kept. Your kid
outgrows, or enters school, you simply go to the closet and find some your
size.
And as a result, the cost is minimal.
