Hi Keith.  I remember seeing you try getting V42bis working on
your 9600 bps modem, but it never worked out (for unknown
reasons) and you went back to MNP4.  Now you are calling at
14400 but without any error correction.  Is there a problem
connecting at V42bis?  I hope you realise that you are 
hogging the system for 15% more than you would be if you 
were using V42bis?  Try thinking of someone besides yourself
occasionally will you?
