It is a deciduous tree...To get the knobby effect, you have to prune
the tree heavily back every fall. They are quite beautiful trees when they
mature.

I sure hope that we find someone that knows more about the trees.
My father in-law has is about forty-fifty years old...It is so unique and
very pretty looking.

That is a bummer...we run a BBS...ShadowFire_Amiga...We WILL NOT
TAKE IT DOWN ..this bbs is how my husband and myself met...I sure hope
you find another bbs that carries fido echos. On our BBS we are lucky to
get two callers a week..but we love our bbs and it has great meaning to
us...so..up it stays.
