I lived in New England for a while. Vermont, to be precise. Folks there used 
to call people from Massechusetts "flatlanders."
Even then, I look at the sedate hills in Vermont, and smile. T'aint nothing 
like the hills we have at this side of the continent (Washington, BC, 
egon.)
Look at it that way, if you can't afford your hill-climbing toys. :)
