For whatever reasons neither you or "Dr" Dot care to discuss anything
about what her qualifications are.  Your statements that she is a
'classy lady', 'generous of herself' and 'praiseworthy' are non
sequiturs
I was openly skeptical and asked her what I thought were reasonable
questions. The only way you became involved in this was by jumping
in as if she needed some sort of defense.  Why?  I'm sorry but I don't
accept the "passing through" comment.
Your interest in ADD/ADHD was not questioned by anyone.  You
volunteered the information that both you and your wife have been
diagnosed with ADD and that you and your brother have struggled with
learning disabilities all your lives.  That is more info than "Dr" Dot
cared to provide.
I notice now that you have, despite your protestations to the
contrary, become embroiled in exchanges that no longer mention "Dr"
Dot or ADD/ADHD but do have the appearance of attempts to dissect the
character of individuals.
I have been in this echo for years.  Many have come and gone and come
back again.  If there is anything worthwhile about the echo it is that
very few so called authoritative pronouncements are taken at face
value.  If the person who posts in that manner can't (or won't) stand
up to questioning then the only reasonable assumption is that the
person either has an agenda, is trolling or is just plain full of
ca-ca.
What has been helpful to me is reading about what others are doing to
help their child with ADHD and offering what we have done to help our
child.  I haven't seen any of that from "Dr" Dot or you.
It doesn't matter a hoot to _me_ if you consider me to be ill
mannered, a bore, rude, overbearing or anything else.  I am a hard
nosed SOB and willingly (some might say willfully) question any and
everyone like "Dr" Dot who drops a line of male bovine excrement and
departs the scene.
You don't have an relatives named Kelley by any chance?
