All,

In the view of IBM's apparent non-commitment to its Open32 library, fPrint
UK Ltd has frozen development of the VCL-compatible version of VP/2 until
IBM get their act together.

This effectively means that VP/2 v2.0 is on hold until a decent version of
Open32 is released.  Over the last 8 months, we have been spending lots and
lots of time reporting bugs and creating formal APAR reports and test cases
for IBM, and have had very little in return.  We still have more than 30
outstanding APARs, and the recently released fixpack 28 for Warp 3 fixes
exactly *ONE* of them: A small discrepancy in the header files (where a
BOOL should be substituted for a ULONG as the function result).  Wow.

Development of the Embedded systems version of VP (For Win32, Dos/4G and
TNT ETS) continues, since it does not rely on any IBM libraries.  We'll
keep you posted!
