SH> Oh, guess greys are out then! Amazons are clowns, and lovely
SH> mimics, but they do have that screaming problem. Almost bought
SH> one before i got my Grey (the lady told me he only screamed
SH> "once in a while"). But the neighbors told me she kept him in
SH> the garage and he screamed constantly. I would too if kept in a
SH> garage, but that wouldn't have worked around here. Have you seen
SH> my posts about Lories? Have seen them in pet stores... they are
SH> so delightful... such little hams, always active and hanging
SH> upside down, acrobatic and they talk too. Macaws are gorgeous.
SH> Do you have a particular sub-species in mind? My favorite is
SH> the greenwing.
I didn't know Lories talked...or maybe I read that they do and forgot.
I'll have to go see the pet store again and check out any Lories they
might have.
I don't have a particular subgroup in mind. I like the coloration on the
macaws, and when I think "parrot" it's a macaw that pops into my head...
but I'm keeping an open mind. What I will probably do is once I have the
funds to buy a parrot, I'll just go shopping all over and look at as
many birds as I can, and then pick one out for personality, color,
vocals, etc.
I may even pick out a Grey...who knows? But I'm not going looking until
I have the bread.
