 I noted the same thing as you. I cannot now use these commands AT)M1 
 and AT:E0 (since i upgrade to the -12 version)

 I could get easily 33.6 *but* because of the symbol rate is wrong (i mean 
it should indicate 3429 instead) results are i get into a dead signal when 
he
modem attemp to connect.
