Hi Paul,
I've been writing my own version of PQWK and the QWK2PKT
part sort-of works. PKT2QWK is next, but I'm buggered by the .ndx
files.

The standard says the MsgPointer is in BasicReal, and BasicReal is a
four-byte number in BASIC MKS$ format, but when I try that in Basic I
get the wrong answer. I guess they are using something *similar* to
Basic's MKS$ function.

The documents gives something written in Pascal but I can't make
head nor tails out of it. I looked in PQWK and it must be there, but
I can't find it.

Do you have C code to do the conversion of pointer to BasicReal and
back again? Or, failing that, can you point me at where the hell it
is in PKT2QWK.

BTW, I now understand what you mean by a kludge! PKT and QWK are
crazy, man.

Regards,
Bob
