PE>> Hi. There has been enough talk in some of the TML echos about

BV> Personally, I don't think there is a problem with PKTJOIN at all and
BV> those who are claiming it has a fault are simply wankers who have
BV> not bothered to look at what it does or how it does it.
PE>Y ou're not wrong there! :-) Even to the extent that they think
PE>t hat it's better to use something that does a sort AND a join,
PE>t o get around the problems that occur just doing a join!

Yeah, especially as it has just been announced that a bug has surfaced :)

PE> Mind boggling.

I'd say so. Shit, here you are writing strategy software for attack
submarines and they don't even think you can write a copy a-b routine.
I just hope that I'm not around when our submarine commanders try to
nuke a bad guy :)

PE> The only "bug", which isn't even a bug, is that I did assume the
PE> packets were valid (ie had x'0000' to terminate them). And since
PE> the packets are coming directly from my system, I'm waiting to see
PE> someone try to claim that ludicrosity.

I had noticed that it was a bit light in the error checking side,
but then I thought about it for a moment and came to the same
conclusion that you probably did. If its fucked, its fucked. :)

Cheers, Brenton
