Let's get that fact straight: nearly none of them are "self-made" in the way

think you are referring. The wealthiest people in the world come from the
wealthiest families in the world. The myth of class mobility is just that - a
myth.

I see. So everytime I come up with another situation where the working class
gets ripped off in favor of the pampered rich people in this country and
abroad, you can just respond with 'life isn't fair' ... but what if people
said
to blacks in the 40's and 50's that "life isn't fair, so quit moaning about
your rights" ...?
The point is that no part of life is really fair at all - but not because of
the way life really is, but the way society is.
