Yoo Hoo, Blanca & Fidonet Disney Echo EchoEARS!
Hey, it's OK to discuss all the little jokes, animations, songs and
other stuff about Hercules, even the merchandise of it. Hercules
merchandise go ahead and talk about, the movie please put a "spoiler"
as Blanca did. Disney theme park shows and parades go ahead and

now, that and "George of the Jungle" live action movie. So feel
free to chat! What did anyone else think of Hercules? Like it?
Not? How does it compare to Aladdin or other Disney animated films?

Good show! ;-)

BA> Not excactly, but it has comedy.
The film has _tons_ of comedy and a lot of in-jokes. You have to see it
several times to "get" all the little references and one-liner jokes.
BA> > Action packed?
BA>
BA> Well... 50-50
The animation involving the hydra fight was very well done.

The hydra too!

Yes you have... you saw the movie so you heard the soundtrack! (Doh! ;-))
The soundtrack, when heard by itself without having seen the film, sounds
a little different than past Disney fare. After you see Hercules you
understand the soundtrack a lot better. It's based on black gospel/R & B/
50's-60's pop girl group/"Grease" type music.
BA> > Who made the songs/score?
BA>
BA> Alan Menken,(Or someting like that)
Music and original score by Alan Menken and lyrics by David Zippel. On
Usenet there is a strong rumor that Alan Menken is leaving association
with Disney and moving on to other things.
BA> > Any great computer animations, too? Love and Light, =)
BA>
BA> Very beautifull. :)
The animation style is inspired by a British cartoonist, whose name
escapes me now. You see it in how the various gods are drawn.
My vote: Go see Herc, definitely a solid 8-9 on a scale of 10 and
so great that Disney has done a comedy again. Here in the US the
film frankly is not holding up to a lot of onslaught of box office
competition. It was #2 at the box office the first week it came out
(Face/Off was first) and in its second week was #3 at the box office
(Men in Black was first) and I hear in its third week of release
Hercules has slipped to 5th place for weekend box office. It's a
_very_ competitive summer in the US for movies and even films like
Jurrassic Park: Lost World and Batman and Robin which have done well
for their first week or two drop like stones in weeks following. It's
affecting all the major studios, this summer's box office competition,
not just Disney. It seems like the major studios are all releasing
what they hope will be "blockbusters" and there's just a lot of
competition, weird summer movie season in the US.
