That might work for my site, but what about if you were running it? I don't
know the ip address or name of your ISP. I'd like to make something that
would test to see if it was connected to the internet without having to
ping something. I've used the api for that and sometimes I don't get a
reply to a ping, when I know I'm online and the server is available.
