The old ones are still the good ones, aren't they...

Here's one I haven't heard before, it cropped up in the local
paper today:

One dark and rainy night recently a bloke in  answered his door to find a six foot rhinoceros beetle
standing there. Sadly, he got a real beating from the giant beetle,
which left him bruised and bleeding on his front doorstep before it
hurried off into the night. Eventually the man recovered
consciousness and took himself off to his doctor. When the doc
asked him what had happened, the bloke was a bit embarrassed at
first, but finally explained the whole sorry episode. He expected
the doc to think he was mad. On the contrary, the doc looked
sympathetic, and said "Yes, there's a very nasty bug going round at
the moment."
