Yea, there are a huge collection of widgets for OSX doing all sorts of stuff.
All that you've detailed, as well as ftp widgets, tons of other stuff.
Look on Apple.com for the list, some free, some minimal cost.
I know I've seen the same things from stardock with it's Object Dock, and
other add ons for Windows XP. Not sure about Win2k though.
