I'll still get it; there are other matches I want to see.  Besides, I 
think that Eddie can carry Layfield to a 2.5 star match.  It's not that 
Rey couldn't, but that I doubted that they would let him, considering 
that they're building Layfield up for the PPV.  The match had every 
indication that it would be a boring squash, and I had better things to 
do with my time.

I can see why the pushed Layfield to contender position; who else did 
they have?  Show and Angle are injured; Dupree is not ready yet (if he 
ever will be); etc.  Booker T. would have been a good shot, since he's a 
heel, but if they ever want him to be a credible threat for the 
championship, or to have the belt, they can't bury him against Eddie now.
