I can tell you what we did to repair our home.( three rooms are
finished) In our house the walls and ceilings are lath and plaster. We live
in northern Calif. so..of course it cracks..our house is sitting on clay
soil..so it expands and shrinks back down in size (the soil that is) The
way we solved our problem was to scrape all the loose plaster off that we
could..then we hung dry wall...It looks very nice and we don't have the
cracks anymore...
