Well I won't know till I can find a shop that will let be test ride 
one. Few shops said they had them, "but still in the boxes, come back 
next week". Yeah right. Maybe springtime! I would think that the shops 
would be eager to make a late season sale, I guess not. 
  I will check into the mechanics of the shok, but I have the Headshok 
on my MTBike and it works great. I believe its springs and elastomer 
with a lockout dial for the hills.
