From: Gary Britt That's a pretty obvious hole that's been around forever. I solved the open wireless connection possibility on my laptop by creating two different hardware profiles. The main hardware profile has the wireless card disabled for when I'm connected to the lan via ethernet. The alternate hardware profile has the wireless card enabled for those occassions when I know I want to connect to a wireless network and know to immediately make sure I've connected ONLY to the intended network. That and manually delete the preconfigured wireless networks from time to time.
