It has been thought to be impossible, true.  But, you know, every new day
seems to bring new surprises.  I can't recall who said: "Everything is im-
possible, until it's been done; then it becomes common."  :)
Specifically, with regard to teleportation, the more precise the position
of a particle can be known, the less precisely its velocity can be known -
and vice-versa.  With the almost surreal quality of quantum "entanglement"
(which I do not understand and, so they themselves say, neither do many of
the physicists working in the quantum field), velocity becomes irrelevant
because an entangled pair of particles can span metres or parsecs.  Thus,
the focus is only on position, and therefore quite accurate (ie, within an
accepted tolerance or limit).  The UP is rendered of small significance.
In short, we will have to see how it plays out as the experiments proceed.
Analogously, our present theories may insufficient to "explain" the simple
"facts" we observe.  :)
