-> I've been doing the heart bookmark out of that leaflet. I think I've
-> done about 15 of them these past few days.
I made several of the heart ones and my husband took them to where he
works just before Valentine's and they sold fairly quickly. Selling
bookmarks gives me enough crochet money to buy more thread at least and
pay for postage to send things off.
-> thread from an estate sale. The lady was still alive, but was moving
-> to a smaller place. She was a 'packrat' of the worst kind. The thread
-> in this box is all NEW cones and balls, but they are from 70 years
-> ago!
What a deal that must have been! Sounds like you have a good supply of
thread for quite a while and will be able to make some really nice
things with it.
-> I just finished one in 'Pearl Cotton' that is a peach color in the
-> heart shape pattern.... oooohhh.. Thats what my wife said ! I've
-> been giving them away so far, but have a few extra's here.
That does sound like it would be pretty! I have a pattern for a
bookmark that is supposed to represent peacock feathers in a chain, sort
of like the heart, and I have some thread in a parakeet color which I
want to use to make that particular bookmark. I hope it'll be a nice
one when done.
-> I was out to a 'Crafters Showcase' store and saw some Filet Crochet
-> bookmarks. There seemed to be an endless possibility with them!
Yes, using one of those cross stitch programs should help quite a bit
with designing Filet Crochet bookmarks. I've had lots of ideas for that
type as well such as music notes for someone who likes music. I do have
some Filet Crochet patterns, some that call for size 20 thread others
that call for size 10. They really are pretty and can even be framed.
