  You should watch day-time TV sometime.  To name a few: Ultrasonic pest 
repellants (now illegal to claim they do anything), "RF" pest
replellants- the 
ones that use the mains cabling to extend their range, stain revovers that make 
ink disappear before your very own eyes (we learned the trick in first year 
science class), Jerry Springer, electrical stimulation muscle builders (now 
illegal to claim they do anything), and, an oldy but a goody, ratified by our 
very own Peter Brock (who now realises that bad ideas come back to haunt you 
again and again) the Fuel Polariser.

  Oh, and there's those magnetic wool underlays, claiming that magnets have 
been used to give you a good night's sleep for over 1500 years (although never 
actually _proving_ the claims in that time).

  No, Adelaide doesn't have a larger proportion of idiots.  Idiots are 
everywhere, they don't discriminate.
