The CP8700 is truly impressive with 8x zoom from 35 to 280mm at f-3.5 to
f-5.6 which compared well to Sony's F828 which is also 8x zoom from 28 to
200mm at f-2.4 to f-2.8.
If they both gets here next month, I would have a chance to compare them
before picking up the Sony which I ordered last December.
Canon is a bit behind in this respect - Canon's Rebel is a bit short on the
lens that comes with the package.
