Yoo Hoo, Maarten!
On July 10th '97 you wrote to BRUCE METCALF:
MvS> BM> Without question, the best of the guides is _The Unofficial Guide
MvS> BM> to Disney World_. They have a later publication deadline than the
MvS> BM> others, thus have more up-to-date information. I just happen to
MvS> BM> like it better, too.
MvS>
MvS> Where is this guide available? If it's a book, can you give us a ISBN
MvS> booknumber?
Any major bookstore chain would have this or could order it for you
from the US Travel/Florida Travel section. Author is Bob Sehlinger.
Publisher is Macmillan Travel USA. I don't own the 1997 edition so I can't
get you the ISBN number. If you can WWW browse, try Amazon.com, an
online bookstore that is fairly new.
Another title you might be interested in is WDW for Lovers, the couple
who wrote it has the last name of Perlmutter. This book goes into much
more detail about the resorts than most other of the tour guides.
MvS> BM> (Notice please that I
MvS> BM> did *not* include Fantasia Gardens in this list.)
MvS>
MvS> What's wrong with the Fantasia Gardens?
Nothing really. It's simply a miniature golf course with a Disney theming
near the Swan and Dolphin Resorts. The "problem" is that in the hot and
humid Florida weather it can be uncomfortable to play until the sun goes
down. Compared with everything else there is to do at WDW, if your
wedding/honeymoon trip will be the "trip of a lifetime" and you are not
planning to come back for a long time, I would skip Fantasia Gardens in
favor of more appealing/romantic/memorable WDW attractions, things to do (a
horseback ride at Fort Wilderness, or a pontoon ride on the Breathless
to see Epcot fireworks if you can afford it) or restaurant activities.
MvS> September 8th my girlfriend and me will get married at the Wedding
MvS> Pavillion at 1600h, so this is supposed to be the day of our lives!
Oh how romantic! What are your wedding plans like? Will you have
Disney music at your wedding, or the Disney characters at your reception?
Will there be a Disney theme, or will it be strictly a traditional
wedding? If it's not too personal, please feel free to tell us what a
Disney wedding and planning for a Disney wedding is like. :-)
