| subject: | The Summer that Isn`t! |
Replying to a message of THEODORE NIKODEM to ALL: TN> In this era of global warming, we are having a record cold summer. TN> Usually, we get to 30C (86F) several times each summer. July of 2009 was the first month on record here where the temperature reached 90F only once, and that on the 27th. Note that yesterday (August 4th) the temperature also reached 90F and the high 90sF is forecast for this weekend. Thus far this year has been cool and wet - the wet we needed as the last several years have been comparatively dry. TN> This year we are still waiting for the first one. TN> This year, average July temperature was the coolest on record. TN> When I drove to work this morning, I need the defroster running in may TN> car! TN> Maybe it means the winter will be warmer than usual (we can hope). Last winter was warmer than usual here. Hopefully you are correct as the price of furnace oil, which my furnace uses, is going up again. So, FTM, is everything else. --- FleetStreet 1.19+* Origin: Bob's Boneyard, Emerson, Iowa (1:300/3) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 11/200 201 331 34/999 120/228 128/2 187 132/500 140/1 222/2 SEEN-BY: 226/0 236/150 250/306 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1410 1418 266/1413 SEEN-BY: 280/1027 320/119 396/45 633/260 267 712/848 800/432 801/161 189 SEEN-BY: 2320/100 105 5030/1256 @PATH: 300/3 14/5 140/1 261/38 633/260 267 |
