I'm interested in setting up a simple ? list  box to display about the last
three items of a growing list. The tricky requirement is that it should 
croll
smoothly, since someone will be reading it real-time as it scrolls.
I imagine that one has to set up an invisible off-screen canvas, and then
blit portions of it onto the visible screen canvas at regular intervals to
get the smooth scrolling.
All suggestions are welcome.
