ES> Is this the one that allows you to assemble to all of the memory ES>on the other machine? If so I'm interested! TM>Yes this is the one I have in mind... I'm still looking... Yeah I've seen it somewhere, just wish I knew where (: If I find it I'll let you know. Now that I've got about 3 64s I can get into that kind of stuff. TM>You could say that... maybe I'm just finding that I'm a bit lonely as TM>far as having people to talk to in my own group... Yeah, no coders (: Apart from TBH that is, although he is pretty quiet at the moment.. TM>Anyways... I've just bumped into (almost literally!) a guy down here in TM>Vic called Whiplash/MSR/BK. And here was me thinking that Victoria was TM>deprived of any sceners... Yeah I've heard of him, I think he's a codr , yes? Victoria used to be the hub of the 64 scene, used to be anyone who was anyone was in melbourne or victoria generally. TM>So, where do we start when it comes to Vectors? I'm very interested in TM>learning about them... particuarly after seeing "Tower Power" by TM>Camelot... Havent seen that demo yet, what kind of routines does it have? Well to do vectors you're going to need a) a plot routine, & b) a line routine. For a plot routine I usually use a font, not bitmap, as it takes up less memory, & is easier to 'page swap' (for animation). Using look up tables in the plot routine can make it quite fast (only 15 or so instructions). Your line routine will call your plot routine to do each point as it plots the line. If you've dont high school maths you shouldnt have too much trouble figuring out the line routine. It basically invovles using a gradient etc. After you've done that, THEN you can start getting into perspective, & 3d rotation routines (: Strobe/Menace --- Ezycom V1.10b0 00f90038* Origin: WOW BBS - Commodore Suport, Sydney's West (3:713/888) SEEN-BY: 50/99 54/54 623/630 640/316 711/807 808 809 929 934 712/623 713/317 SEEN-BY: 713/618 700 805 888 714/906 @PATH: 713/888 54/54 711/808 809 |
