subject: The Trade...

BTW, David, just thought I'd update you on the early results of The Trade
(and the one that followed because of it)...
Justice/Grissom for Lofton/Embree
            BA ERA
Justice .341
Grissom .231
Lofton .406
Embree 2.70 (1-0, 1 hold)
---------------------------------
Dye/Walker for Tucker/Lockhart
Dye .194
Walker 5.40 (1-1)
Tucker .362
Lockhart .125
The early results seem to favor the Braves, even IF they're renting Lofton.
Oh and remember last year when you were continuing your diatribe against
relievers and how you feel that just any old pitcher can be made into a
stopper? Wetteland is now 4 of 4 in saves for Texas, while Rivera is now 3 of
6 (Yes, that's right, he's already blown one less save than Wetteland did ALL
last year). Of course, I remember when you said that Oakland's best reliever
was Corsi and now he's throwing away balls for Boston.:-)
