binkd is not limited to IP only... it has (had??) POTS capabilities, too... if
it does not have POTS capability internally any more then one can possibly
still use it over POTS via a tool like net2bbs or similar that handles the POTS
side and connects via IP to binkd to facilitate transfers via POTS
connections...
