While tripping merrily through the mail, Joel Heckman was overheard
-> what do you mean by sleeper???
JH> A street sleeper is the full term. A sleeper is a car that looks like
JH> it just came off the showroom floor, or out of the junkyard, but is
JH> still very fast. It is more a deceiver, I guess, as it deceives other
JH> drivers into thinking that it is a piece of junk, but then beats them
 JH> in a drag race.
Like my college room-mates '63 Impala 2 door sedan, strictly stock
tires, chrome, hubcaps, suspension, a little old lady's sunday driver
coupe. (even had "6" cyl. medallions on the fenders). No fancy paint,
no pinstriping, nothing........
Under the hood, what started life as a 409 bored and stroked to 456 and
fuel injected. Need I say more?
Don
... He then left in a Huff (A small German sportscar).
