ANY program is only as good as:
The design philosophy of the language (certain things may force
a lot of overhead or may force p-code execution)
The tightness of the generated code (optimization, etc.)
The efficiency of the application code (using a bubble sort for
10,000,000 items will certainly not give fast overall execution)
