Hi Dave,

RH> Dodged a bullet with that one. Looks like MIlton will miss us but the
RH> coastal areas will get wet. Other storms out in the ocean look to be
 RH> "fish storms".

DD> I was under the impression that Milty was coming up the West Coast of
DD> Florida toward Tampa Bay and the home of Hooters. (Looks at map) I see
DD> it's projected to blow across the peninsula and miss Georgia and South
DD> Carolina .... except with the fringes - which can be bad enough.

Rip tides, storm surges, winds, all that stuff. A hurricane can reach
out over quite a large area, and one this strong can do a lot of damage
hundreds of miles from the center of the storm.

DD> Title: Whole Wheat Biscuit Mix - BHG
 DD> Categories: Breads
 DD> Yield: 48 Servings

 DD> 6 c A-P flour *
 DD> 4 c Whole wheat flour *
 DD> 1/3 c Baking powder
 DD> 1/4 c Sugar
 DD> 2 ts Salt
 DD> 2 c Lard or Crisco shortening

RH> Looks similar to the one I've made a number of times but I use all
RH> whole wheat flour (only 8 cups), no sugar and add about a cup and a
RH> half of powdered milk. There are a number of similar versions out
RH> there; my recipe comes from the La Leche League, International
RH> cookbook, "Whole Foods For The Whole Family".

DD> IOW you use something like this one:

DD> Title: Whole Wheat Biscuit Mix
 DD> Categories: Breads, Dairy
 DD> Yield: 9 Biscuits

 DD> 8 c Whole wheat flour
 DD> 1 1/2 c Non-fat dry milk
 DD> 5 tb Baking powder
 DD> 1 tb Salt
 DD> 1 c Butter; softened

Basically, yes. I'd have to look up the one I make but getting to my
cook books right now is a challenge (piles of tools and 3D build partial
projects are in the way).
