The message from Kenneth Newman rises higher:

CR> As for the 5uu's, one of the CDs I've bought over the last
CR> few months I was absent from this echo was a 5uu's

CR> _Elements_ LP, the _Bar Code_ 7" single, and a track

Yep...
KN> and in your face. But I enjoy _Point of Views_ a lot
KN> more. THat's the one I would recommend to people.
Oh, yeah. I especially like "Compromisation," probably because of
all the percussion and that incredibly freaky-sounding synth solo in the
middle! I have no idea how to categorize this stuff, but it sure ain't
boring.
My other favorites are "The Fear of Life (After Death)",
"Sporting" (the best example of 5uu's jamming I've heard), "Magic,
Dogma, and Faith" (especially that middle section), "Hot & Cold Frog",
and "Resentments."
I'd really like to get ahold of those early albums (especially _Bel
Marduk & Tiamat_) in their entirety, but I never see them available
anywhere.
CR> Have you checked out the Hungarian band Korai Orom? I have
CR> their self-titled and enjoy it immensely. Kind of like The
CR> Ozrics without any real leads and more influence of African
CR> and Mid-Eastern music. More layers than The Ozrics, too.
KN>
KN> Two in a row, Clark. AFAIK all their albums are self
KN> titled. I have Korai Orom 95 (Early Fun)
Well, the one I have is from '95, I guess. There's no song titles
anywhere, so I can't tell you those. The cover is of a circular drawing
in brown with some clouds in a rather iris-looking form. All of this is
on a brick wall.
KN> and Korai Orom
KN> 96, both of which are similar and very good. Sort of
KN> modern ethno-psych-trance ambient prog. Decent for late
KN> night listening. Good in the Walkman while running, too.
I plan on getting that '96 one soon.
KN> Ever hear of a band called Granfalloon?
No. 99 Luftballoons?
