INTRODUCTION
I hope everybody is having a good holiday. It seems that ACC and
Jack Shulman are still hard at it. I guess I am not supposed to print=20
this stuff without getting permission but many of my subscribers don't=20
have full access to the internet and the ACC website. This is just a=20
small not for profit mailing list Jack, so please don't sue.
I have had some dealings in the past with Billy Cox who wrote the=20
Florida Today article on the Mars Surveyor. Billy is pretty well=20
informed for a regular journalist. (See Were UFO's Monotoring Mars=20
Global Surveyor in this issue) =20

Bell Labs reportedly to Bow Out !!

                                  Superior Media Services... update:=20
12/31
As if in response to the fear of being apprehended - AT&T and=20
Lucent Technologies have been
privately rumoring the SALE of their interest and MERGER of=20
Bell Laboratories, to S.A.I.C. -
the Company that runs the INTERNIC for the National Science=20
Foundation, and which has all
mighty power over who gets what name, what server gets what=20
domain assignment, and, perhaps,
the future of the Internet now hangs in the balance.=20
This move, if carried out, would have the dual effect of=20
DISTANCING AT&T and LUCENT from
the History of Bell Labs and the present controversy=20
surrounding the Transistor's origins, now
commonly believed to have come from a Government project likely=20
involved in analyzing a
downed Alien UFO in the Southwest about a year prior to the=20
Transistor's public announcement
       in 1948.=20
Until now, Bell Labs was a private research laboratory, and=20
AT&T Labs and Lucent
Technologies, nursing off of the 'mother ship' of Bell Labs=20
name and reputation, had marketed
Bell Laboratories innovations to the public in a rather hubris=20
laden marketing scheme.=20
But, recently, American Computer Company informed the=20
Department of Justice and the Federal
Courts that AT&T and Lucent were, under terms of the agreement=20
to break up the Bell System,
not allowed to monopolize Bell Labs under their sole=20
jurisdiction, that, in fact, any company
which wished to license and resell so-called "Bell Labs=20
Innovations" had the full legal right to do
       so.=20
This surprising revelation, buried deeply in the meaning of the=20
break-up and deregulation of the
Bell System, had been very liberally interpreted by AT&T for=20
more than 15 years, on the face of
the existence of 'non-entity' Bellcore Information Services,=20
Inc., which had been created for the
"Baby Bells" to carry Bell Labs innovations to them.=A0 AT&T has,=20
for nearly 15 years, allegedly
made it difficult near to impossible for any party to obtain a=20
DIRECT license with Bell Labs,
requiring licensing from AT&T and, recently, from the new=20
company they formed, Lucent.=A0
Reportedly, any other party who violated one of the licensable=20
patents of Bell Labs, faced
stringent lawsuits from AT&T (referencing recent patent suits=20
by AT&T against Acer Computer
       and others...).=20
It appears as if more recently, as some have suggested: Bell=20
Labs and AT&T may have all along
been FRAUDULENTLY CLAIMING that the Transistor was discovered=20
at AT&T from work on
Germanium Diodes.=A0 The Transistor is a very specific three=20
element solid state 'semiconducting'
device composed of silicon, arsenic, boron and, occasionally,=20
gallium and related substances,
and, allegedly, Bell has for 50 years been FRAUDULENTLY=20
claiming the Transistor=A0 had been
'accidentally' discovered in December of 1947 by scientists=20
observing an ordinary Germanium
Diode. And yet, the Germanium Diode bears no such trace=20
elements as the Transistor nor is it
composed of the same materials nor does it operate according to=20
the same electronic principles.=A0
For instance, the Germanium Diode has only two connecting=20
elements and consists of a single
mineral mined from the earth, and only possesses the ability to=20
conduct half of an "Alternating"
(AC) wave of electrical current. It possesses absolutely no=20
'semiconducting amplification
properties'.=A0 The experiment referred to by Bell as the=20
'smoking gun', in fact has been
reproduced in high school laboratories without ANY SUCH SUCCESS=20
at amplification using
Germanium Diodes ever since - in fact the question of why Bell=20
has all along made such an
inaccurate claim has stumped many in the Scientific Community:=20
that experiment has never
       produced a "semiconducting" result before.=A0 This completely=20
contradicts the contents of what
now appear to be false allegations that the Germanium Diode was=20
