DMK> BN> Uh, do what, daddy?? I'm not recalling any sort of official

appen
DMK> BN> & why wasn't I told? Or are you talking about a prototype

DMK>The Galaxy was dissassembled by StarFleet due to it's faults. It was in
DMK>book, I'm not sure of the title but I'll drag myself over to the Book
Store
Well, if it's a novel, don't forget the standard rule of thumb on
their authority. Remember also that some of the "canon" tools have
mistakes as well. I don't have them *all*, but none of the ones I
do have (IOW, the authoritative ones) make any mention of
disassembly of the Galaxy that I can recall.
And of course I'm not the mod, at least not here.
DMK>Books have to be reviewed by Paramount before they can be released so if
DMK>Paramount doesn't like the idea then... They won't authorize it.
Uh, wanna bet? };) They make make overall thumbs up/down on the
idea, but they don't check for detail authenticity, trust me.
If they did, the W10 reference in Vendetta (I think it was; don't
"do" the novels, so we'll have to rely on someone else to verify
if it's that one) would never have made it past.
Regardless of what some may think, Paramount does *not* screen the
novels with a fine-toothed comb for continuity. That's how the
standard rule came to be that novels are *never* canon unless/until
what they say is backed up by actual on-screen or other true
authority sources. ;)
