That is my understanding from the GWReps. Supposedly he got
in a snit because only about 4 people ordered the disk in the
first week or two, after all of his promotion (?) efforts. I
wonder if that cockamanie 900 number had anything to do with
it, as well? Sheesh... call this # three times or whatever &
write down the serial # that they give you each time (for the
$10-20+ that they are charging you for the call) and pray that
you get the #'s all right as there is no second chance. What
a way to try to sell a $60 package... could he have made it
just a LITTLE more difficult, so NO ONE would order it?
Let's see:
1) Most Geoworkers had never heard of him or his company.
2) He only posted in the newsgroup & on AOL, at best, as
far as I know.
3) Charged $60 for a CD that most comparable products for
WIN, etc. sell for half the price or less.
4) Made ordering the CD a nightmare.
And he is upset that sales are slow... go figger.
