I quoted exact text from a pamphlet identifying the NCFA and their goals and
supporters. Other than what I sent via net, there was no clarification on
NCFA. You may want to write NCFA and ask them exactly what Latter Day Saints
were involved with this. I am not degrading LDS - I am simply trying to get
some very important information out regarding a very important crisis that
could affect every reform group in the USA. I was surprised as well that LDS
was listed since they have such incredible geneology records. As far as the
suit that was filed on behalf of Promise Doe in Tennessee, she and NCFA have
managed to totally screw everyone man woman and child that breathes the word
adoption in Tennessee, ALL ADOPTIONS, PAST PRESENT AND WAITING FOR
FINALIZATION HAVE BEEN PUT ON HOLD. No one can finalize an adoption, no
records being released, no case studies done for waiting children and waiting
parents, no placements being processed. All children are being put in
"holding situations" until this situation is cleared up. So I don't really
think that it would matter if the LDS or the Methodist or Satan Worshippers
were involved, the point is - one person who doesn't understand the amazing
impact her "panties being in wad" has on an entire state has and the
buttheads that would support and manipulate her "uneducation on the adoption
front" have screwed an entire state and hundreds of innocent children. This
willhave major impact on activists such as me that work their hardest to
unseal these records for adult adoptees and birthparents who are searching in
other states - it basically makes us immobile. Please don't take it so
personally when an organization is named in such a matter. Simply, either
call the organization that named LDS or call your own church and ask them
point blank what their views are. Did you know the Baptist Convention
supposedly expressed that they were to convert all Jews? Did you know the
Methodist supposedly support partial birth abortions? Both of these are not
true, but the media has printed them non the less, so I simply went to my
methodist church and asked point black, hey, what's the story. The point of
the original post is obviously not to pin blame onthe LDS.
