Oh, I'm sure there are lots of reasons.  I happened to be sitting looking
at the screen, some time after I had noticed no new calls in the logs, and
I watched as a call came in. The prompt for the caller's name came up, I
think, then the whole thing popped out and reset itself, before anything
could be sent to the log.  I think it was a maladjustment in the program
itself that had crept in, or perhaps corruption.
