The message from Mathieu Bouchard rises higher:
 MB>> Mekan*k Kommand*h Magma
CR> I've heard this recently and really liked it. I own _Udu Wudu_,
CR> _Attahk_, _Live_, and _Kohntarkosz_, and that Mekanik Kommandoh sounded
CR> every bit as good as any of those.
MB> I have too Retrospektiw ]I[ and Live, methinks.
I was wrong -- the album I'd recently heard was _Mekanik Destruktiv
Kommandoh_ and not _Mekanik Kommandoh_.
 MB>> Vemod Anekdoten
CR> Another favorite of mine. This is a better "album" than _Nucleus_, and
CR> by that I mean that the songs are in a better order, at least to me.
MB> Well, Raft/Rubankh sounded to me, at first, more or less like a broken
MB> version of The Flow, for example, but now i can appreciate most any
MB> song of both albums, though i like the cute songs (Vemod #4 #6 and
 MB> Nucleus #8) a little less.
Cute? Wow, I've never described any of Anekdoten as cute.
 MB>> Hy*nteisi* voi rakastaa H*yry-Kone
CR> I have this too and like the first song, but haven't gotten into the
 CR> rest yet.
 MB> Try tracks #4 #6 #8 #9. (well, these are -my- favorites)
I'm trying #4 right now. Purdy weird.
 MB>> Dummy Portishead
 MB>> Post Bj*rk
 MB>> Haus der L*ge Einst*rzende Neubauten
CR> What are these 3 like? We seem to have very similar tastes.
MB> The first is Trip-Hop music, or so it was labeled. Precisely it's
MB> music from Bristol city, England, mid-90's. slowed down experimental
MB> hip-hop with borrowings from old jazz, industrial, and such.
MB> The second is like the first but more technoish. The singer (female)
MB> has a really high pitched voice. btw when i say techno it's not
MB> necessarily hard, actually the techno stuff can be gentler than the
MB> trip-hop stuff :-) lots of horns here.
I've got a Bjork song, "Army of Me," on a compilation CD. It's got a
really groovy groove. I've also heard her do that "It's All So Quiet"
song. That's OK. How does _Post_ compare to those two?
MB> The third is industrial. the band was formed '80; this album is '89.
MB> They're German. (). I'm kinda new to them, but i like them very
MB> much. I'm kinda new to industrial in general... But it took me quite a
MB> while to get into it...
Have you heard any Killing Joke?
