Buergs List will do that. You need some care to ensure that its
not translating too, but its possible.

What hex editor are you using ?  Nortons Diskedit can do it fine,
tho its a tad non intuitive in the sense that you should cut that
bit you want to a new file rather than try to edit the original.
Guaranteed to get no translations etc tho.
