subject: Sound Card Help

Hello All,
I've been thinking of adding a sound card. From what I've heard Creative
Labs cards are the most compatible. How good is the Creative Labs
SoundBlaster 16 WavEffects card?
My PC is a Dell Pentium 100 and 2 IDE controllers on the motherboard. I've
installed service pack 3. The CD-ROM connects to the second IDE controller.
I'm not looking for great sound -- just something that works well with CDs
and occasional times I would be listening to "radio" over the net. Audio
dropouts and significant degradadation of system response would not be
acceptable but "clock radio" sound is fine.
