She's a very classy lady, a person I'm glad to claim as a friend,
a person generous of herself and her education and experience to a
fault, and one I've not known to be anything less than praise-worthy.
Mark, you really ought to stop and smell the roses sometime, and you
ought to work very hard on that huge chip on your shoulders while
you're at it.
You know, a response like yours validates much of what she had to say,
although I by no means would have read her posting to be directed
at any person in particular. It was deliberately non-specific out of
consideration for the feelings of echo participants. Why do you
suppose you chose to interpret it as a personal attack and part of
some personal 'agenda' instead of what it was, a genuine wish for the
well-being of everyone in the conference, a heart-felt note of
sympathy for those she felt were in harm's way, and a brief recommended
reading list for any who might care for one?
You, Mr. Probert, have given new validity to the cliche', "no good deed
goes unpunished."
