Yeah here in New England the asphalt is rarely ideal. There is alway 
cracks due to frost heaves all winter. The only smooth tracks are the 
newly paved RailTrails in the area. The roads are always cracks and 
Potholes. I been told that the estimated differece is about 1.5 lbs and 
about $250.00 more in price. Priced at $949.00 without. and somewhere 
between $1200.00 and $1300.00 for the Silk Road. Is 1.5 lbs much 
difference for a 200 lb rider?   Hmmmmmmmm    I don't know?????
