subject: VK_ENTER

I wonder how editor and terminal programmers manage to recognize
when the ENTER key (and several others for which the presentation
manager does not send a key down message) is pressed. I can only
intercept the virtual key code VK_ENTER when the key is _released_,
which is not what I need.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
  Steffen
